Two arrested following search.


Two people were arrested Friday during the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Henry St. in Waxahachie,Texas.

The warrant was served in a joint operation by the Ellis County,Texas Sheriff's Office narcotics task force and the Waxahachie,Texas Police Department, with the WPD's SWAT team making entrance.

Two male Waxahachie,Texas residents were taken into custody without incident as a result of the operation, with one man expected to be charged with a class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana. A second male faces charges of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance more than 4 grams and possession of marijuana over 4 ounces.

The investigation began after narcotics trafficking was observed at the residence, task force Lt. Brad Norman said.

�''We obtained a search warrant, which we executed Friday morning. We recovered some crack cocaine and marijuana,�'' Norman said. �''We also recovered some stolen property, which was a couple of firearms.�''

A sum of money also was seized as a result of the operation, Norman said, noting several other people were questioned at the scene.
